Haneda Airport, located on the Tokyo Bay shore at the southeastern tip of Tokyo, started using new air routes crossing the city center in March 2020. Some people are concerned about possible noise, falling objects, and accidents, but no serious problems have occurred so far. More than that, isn’t it a beautiful experience to look up at large aircraft flying over the megalopolis at a height that seems almost within hand’s reach? It is a miraculous sight that happens only between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on days when the southerly wind blows in Tokyo.
