There’s a place on a mountain on the east side of Kyoto called Shogunzuka that offers a fantastic view of the city, but it’s only open during the daytime and you have to pay to enter. But the Higashiyama Mount Peak Park Observatory is open anytime and completely free of charge! Bring a pair of binoculars and you can check out views like this.
京都で素晴らしい山頂からの眺めの一つは将軍塚やけど、そこは有料やし、夜は空いていへんねん。でも隣にある東山山頂公園の展望台は２４時間オープン、そして無料！双眼鏡を持っていったらこんな景色を見れるで。
