Hiroshi Hara, the architect behind the Kyoto Tower, also designed the Umeda Sky Building. There is nothing else like it anywhere. Do you see the glowing ring on the bottom of the part that connects the two towers? It’s supposed to represent a UFO launch pad.
梅田スカイビルを初めて見た時、「UFOみたい」とは思わへんかった。でもこの建物の建築家・原広司はUFOの発射台をイメージにしてこのデザインを作成したらしい。おもろっ！
