Hokkaido does not have tsuyu or a full-blown rainy season like the ones of Honshu and further south, but there are often days around June each year when the weather is unsettled, also known as the ‘Yezo tsuyu’ rainy season. The quietness of the main street late at night, drenched in the light rain of the Yezo tsuyu, made me think that the rainy season is not so bad in this city.
